Space Marines Tower Over Maker Faire
Master costume maker, Shawn Thorsson, wowed the crowds at Maker Faire again this year with his impressive Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine costumes. It was amazing, especially being a 40K player, to see these giant armor-clad, genetically-modified super humans patrolling the aisles of Expo Hall. Space Marines are HUGE! Read more...

Did you ever think you were going to die from a shit?
I just spent 8 minutes sweating, rocking back and forth and hyperventilating while shitting. I thought it was death. At 36 I have never experienced anything like it. It kept getting worse and worse until finally my ass let loose with the fury of a thousand suns. Then, aside from a burning asshole, it has subsided. I am still sitting here waiting for something more. I think it's done. submitted by tunabomber to AskReddit [link] [1611 comments] Read more...

Jay Chandrasekhar and Kevin Heffernan here - we made Super Troopers AND Beerfest and NOW "The Babymakers", out on August 3rd. AMA...with a TWIST!
Jay Chandrasekhar and Kevin Heffernan here- you probably know us from Super Troopers and Beerfest. Plus, we've got another new movie coming out; The Babymakers with Olivia Munn (hot) and Paul Schneider (hot in his own way) on August 3rd. We'll do a larger AMA later, but for right now- here's what we want. We want your questions about any of our movies, well, really, about anything- but we want the most extreme, hilarious ones possible. Then we're going to ask them to each other, on camera, tomorrow. We'll film as many as we can and post answers back here later in the week. PROOF!! https://twitter.com/jaychandrasekha/status/204740739379376128 submitted by kevinandjay to IAmA Read more...

Back in the day TRL used to 'retire' videos that lasted in the top ten for too long. I think r/music needs to start doing the same thing for songs on its front page. I know Gorillaz are awesome, but seriously, this is like the 20th time I'm seeing On Melancholy Hill up in this bitch.
Maybe a wall of fame should be put up to the side with links to all these songs so people know to not fucking post them anymore. submitted by fuzzydunlap to Music [link] [567 comments] Read more...

What "amazing fact" or colloquialism do you know is actually wrong, and you're sick of correcting people about it?
I'm sick of hearing "people use only 10% of their brain" For once and for all, a person may use on average about 5-15% of their brain at any given moment, but every part of it is important, and used at different times. Also, I'm sick of the phrase "It's always in the last place you look" Not because of the obvious "Well, because once you find it, you stop looking" rebuttal, but for the corollary to the rule: If you know something you're searching for is in one of 10 boxes, and you don't find it until you're checking the 10th box, THEN you're allowed to say it. edit: Wow, top post. Thanks for the great anecdotes, everyone! submitted by TestZero to AskReddit Read more...
