ISM January Indices: A Strong Month

The Institute For Supply Management’s Manufacturing Index, released on Wednesday, increased to 54.1% in January from a revised (due to adjustments of seasonal factors) 53.1%. Any reading about 50% indicates expansion. ISM’s Non Manufacturing Index released today increased bigtime to 56.8% in January from a revised 53.0%. Both readings significantly exceeded expectations. In case you didn't attend, the story of the 2006 River Days Parade was Commissioner candidate George Crumm. He had a massive showing - easily out numbering supporters of 16-year incumbent Skip Riffe. Schmidt Scores High in Another Rating

Family Research Council Action and CitizenLink recently released their Vote Scorecard for the first session of the 112th Congress. FRC Action and CitizenLink scored numerous votes that were detrimental to the family. The new Scorecard details how members of Congress voted on pro-life and pro-family issues. In all, eight Senators and 46 Representatives had 100 percent, "True Blue" voting records in the scorecard.  Read more...
